i have over ten years of experience working with young people, families and adults across NHS and private sectors. my approach is creative, informal and collaborative. i view conversations as a co-researched project, whereby an individual’s own knowledges, beliefs and practices can form the foundations of preferred meaning-making in their lives.
sharing stories is a gift and I value and honour every story shared with me. i am often invited into witnessing peoples’ stories at significant transition points in their lives. this includes- but is not limited to- people coming to terms with loss, living with the challenges of long-term health conditions, fertility issues, parenthood, sexuality, ageing and traumatic events.
i am passionate about narrative and community-psychology approaches, whilst drawing on a range of other evidence-based approaches such as cbt, mindfulness and compassion-focused therapy. i seek to disrupt dominant discourses which privilege the mind and regularly invite the body into conversations.
